Glendil Griffin Interview

Let me explain this before I post it here. This was the very first interview I did with Glendil Griffin. I was excited because it was something that I was able to do for the Christian Media Spotlight ministry and I got to help tell a little bit more of who He is as an artist and well his testimony and the music He writes. I related a lot to what He shared and I think that is one of the reasons I've related with His music a lot. So, here is the very first features article I did with Glendil Griffin who has appeared on CMS.  Elizabeth: When did you start getting into Christian music and who introduced you to it? Glendil: My family has always been believers in Jesus Christ so I grew up in church faith off and on throughout my life but I answered my call to music in 2006 when I was 16. years old. Elizabeth: How would you say God has helped you growing up and did you go through any struggles during that time? Glendil: When I was younger, I've always heard the Bible stories and tes...

Christian Media Spotlight Radio Show

One of the new things that came to the show's ministry was a radio show that is hosted by Joseph Neal. The radio shows have been another great way for people to listen to artists that are new and artists they have heard before. When you go to the show's Facebook page you will be able to find the times of when the radio show airs, along with what radio station it will be on. Today the radio show is airing at 5 pm Eastern on Angel 95 FM. Here is the link for that: https://angel95fm.com/?fbclid=IwAR09Ik-BIK557f82-gyBvzIL8dEOSvywPMGWTy2Y8rAuWyAnBRQyb-C10iE I hope that as you listen to the radio show for the first time that you will be blessed and impacted by it. The radio show has been a blessing each time I've listened because it not only gives me the chance to hear different artists and artists I know, but it gives me the chance to listen to wonderful music that can be uplifting and encouraging. When we think of encouragement, we think of how God shows us Compassion and Love...

Casey Price Interview

A person named Casey Price who has had their music played on some music hangouts did an interview with me for Christian Media Spotlight. I've enjoyed being able to do this interview with Casey Price. Q. What was it like for you growing up? A. I was raised in Marion Virginia about 40 minutes from the Tennessee line. So definitely a down south type area. Not as hillbilly as many would assume. But definitely small-town American like in the movies. You know pretty much everyone in town by name etc. Q. Who would you say helped you come to know God and how has that helped you grow stronger in your faith walk? A. My parents for sure. They were always taking us to church and were very active in ministry. My mother is a singer and my parents were also youth leaders. Faith was always a big part of our lives and upbringing Q. When do you remember going through a different struggle that you faced growing up and how did you overcome it? A. When I was a kid, my cousins were murdered and they ha...

Interview with Katy Kinard

Here is the interview I did with Christian Media Spotlight's show and voice over announcer Katy Kinard. I hope you will enjoy taking the time to read a little bit more about her and will learn more about who she is. Q. What was it like for you growing up and did you have someone growing up that made a difference in your life? A. I had a wonderful simple childhood growing up in Arlington, TX. Loving family with fun traditions, elaborate decorations and events for every holiday, magical backyard, trips around the U.S. in the summers... I feel that I was very lucky/blessed. I think it was important that I also had a best friend who I could be creative with. We used to make up lots of games that often included drawing elaborate pictures we would pass to each other. Parent-teacher conferences usually involved my teachers saying I never paid attention in class! Q. When do you remember coming to know God and who helped you come to know Him? A. My family was great about regularly takin...

Contributing Writer

One of the things that became a thing for this ministry and show that Joseph Neal who is host, was an idea for people to take part in writing feature articles, by interviewing artists. I private messaged Joe and from there, I got my first interview where I interviewed Glendil Griffin who is a Christian artist. In my time of becoming a contributing writer, another person I've met since being with Christian Media Spotlight is Denise Winter and she is also a talented writer. Her first interview that she did was with Dave Pettigrew. The artists I've mentioned have both appeared on Christian Media Spotlight's Night Of Hope Specials. I'm grateful and thankful to be able to do these interviews and even be doing them with Denise Winter who does them as well. If I had to describe my experience in doing the interviews with the artists, I would describe it as fun, but also amazing to know that God is in control and it doesn't matter how long a interview with them takes, as lo...

Night Of Hope

I would like to share with all of you a little about what Night Of Hope is about on Christian Media Spotlight. Night Of Hope is where artists and even people who watch, can take part. There have been fifteen Night Of Hope Specials so far, and Night Of Hope 16 called Give Thanks is coming up soon. The Give Thanks edition happening next month is for two nights. There is something that a lot of people from the community or at least some people from the Christian Media Spotlight community came up with and that is, Sharing Hope through worship. When the Night Of Hope specials happen on Facebook and Youtube, it is amazing to see how the artists in the comments and the entire community comes together for fellowship, but to hear great songs. If I had to share my experience of seeing some of the night of hope specials, I would describe it as this. When I first watched Night Of Hope for the first time, I couldn't believe how many different artists performed but just seeing so many people al...

What Christian Media Spotlight Means To Me

Here is what Christian Media Spotlight means to me. When I first found this page through an internet search, I didn't know at the time was that this ministry and show would be something that would help me grow stronger in my Relationship and my Faith Walk with God. If there was any time where I would probably say that this ministry has helped me, I would say it's helped me become closer in my relationship and in my faith walk with God. I'm so thankful for the things that God has revealed to me and has shown me. I'm grateful for the people He brought into my life over this past year because God has done great things. I just want to share two scriptures with all of you today. The first one is Psalm 89 that says: I will sing of the Lord's Great Love Forever with my mouth I will make My Faithfulness known through all generations. Jeremiah 29:11 says: For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you but not to harm you, but to give you a hope ...
